Gary faithfully served as pastor of First Baptist Church Trussville from 1996-2007, leading us into the 21st Century while continuing the mission and ministry of our church.

He would go on to serve at the North American Mission Board, Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, and finish his days in the vocational ministry as Executive Director of the South Carolina Baptist Convention before returning to the community he loves to call it home in retirement, Trussville, Alabama.

We are delighted to have Brother Gary and Gwen back with us as part of our fellowship, and are honored to be able to bestow upon him the distinction of "Pastor Emeritus" of First Baptist Church Trussville!
