Kim grew up in Argo, Alabama and has been a part of First Baptist since 2015. Before coming to First Baptist, Kim served with her husband Stephen in children's ministries. Kim also served as the Adult Choir director at Central Baptist for 9 years. In 2024, She joined the Staff at First Baptist in the SAM Ministry as an Associate with the Joyful Hearts Choir and has helped to establish a lady's ensemble, Hearts in Harmony.

Kim is so thankful that God blessed her with opportunities to serve in all areas of music. She taught music, band, chimes, and choir in Birmingham City Schools for 27 years. Although she retired in 2018, she still serves in various music ministries, teaching children at music camp, helping with various state-led student choirs, and doing many other things music related.

Kim and Stephen have three adult sons and five grandsons. When they aren't hosting small groups and ministries at their farm in Blount county, they are playing with their grandsons or traveling. Kim also enjoys being outside, crafting, and helping others to learn crafting skills, and of course, all things music!
