Over the next three weeks we'll take a hard look at the beginnings of discipleship.

On Wednesday, August 17th we start a church-wide emphasis on becoming and making disciples, with study classes offered on defending our faith (apologetics), making disciples within our homes (parenting), the roles of disciples as men and women, evangelism, and the basics of being a disciple (a "101" course in discipleship).

Leading up to that time though we want to spend time in the Word on Sunday mornings to see the what, the how, and the why of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. This Sunday we'll discover the what as we look into Matthew 4 of Simon and Andrew's first encounter with our Lord.
