Week 6 - Trusting His Faithfulness

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. - Luke 6:38

Jesus teaches in these verses that generosity leads to abundance, as giving to others results in receiving in return. The measure by which one gives – whether sparingly or abundantly – helps us to understand how open our hands are with the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us. This verse emphasizes the call to be open-handed and trust that the “earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof” (Psalm 24:1).

Today, as we pray together, let’s:

• Examine our hearts and gauge our trust level.
• Pray we would be faithful with what the Lord has blessed us with.
• Seek God’s will in our own lives and the in life of FBCT.
