Week 3 - Concern for the Lost

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. - Acts 1:8

Some of you will remember the good ole days when all your outside lawn tools worked great, as long as you had your electrical extension cords – 25, 50 and even 100 feet! As long as you were connected, everything was great until you ran out of cord. Without power, the work stopped. We are not dependent on power cords or even batteries to do the work that God has called us to do. We have the power of the Holy Spirit that does not need a cord or battery charger. His power is everlasting and has no limits.

Today, filled with God’s Spirit, we pray:

• That God would fill us fresh and anew with His Spirit.
• That, in Christ, we walk in victory as we live as His “witnesses.”
• That God would help us to see Trussville as our “Jerusalem” that He has called us to reach for Christ.
