Week 5 - Seeking His Direction

March 31, 2025

When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. - Nehemiah 1:4

Nehemiah is broken over the fact that Israel has been exiled from Jerusalem and that the wall has been torn down. He is broken for the generations that might stay exiled because Jerusalem has been destroyed. His brokenness moves him to weep, mourn, fast, and pray. But Nehemiah does not stop with fasting and prayer. He takes action. Nehemiah comes up with a plan and gets his hands dirty so future generations will not live as exiles.

Today let us pray:

  • For God to gently break our hearts for the things that break His heart.
  • For future generations to see God move and work because of what He is doing at FBCT right now.
  • For God to show you how He wants to use you to reach future generations.
