Week 2 - Grateful for His Forgiveness

March 11, 2025

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us. - 1 John 1:7-10

“Walking in the light” describes a life that is characterized by truth and holiness and a willingness to be open to God and His working in our lives. The result is that we can have fellowship with one another, as well as with God Himself!

Today, as a fellowship, let’s pray:

  • That we would seek to live lives of truthfulness and honesty.
  • That we would be aware of the sin in our lives and be thankful for forgiveness as we confess it to God.
  • That we would be open to God’s working in our lives to make us more like Him.
