Week 1 - Desperate for His Presence

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. - Psalm 139:7-10

When we think of God’s full awareness of our lives, thoughts, desires, and actions, it can be overwhelming. But when we understand God’s thoughts, desires, and heart for us, it should provide us with peace. His presence is constantly with us to lead, guide, direct, and “hold us fast.” Therefore, we should not fear His presence, but find rest in the love of the Father for His children.

Today, in God’s presence we pray:

• That we would find peace in God’s presence.
• That God’s presence would be a shelter and safe place to rest.
• That God would lead, guide, and direct us by His Spirit.
