We will conclude our current I AM series, looking at the final description Jesus gave us concerning Himself as The Vine.

“I am the true Vine, and My Father is the gardener." - John 15:1

We understand the visual, as did His hearers of that day. A vine is crucial for the life and well-being of any plant or vegetation. Sever or damage a vine, and the plant's life will be short-lived. In the same way, Jesus wanted to drive home the idea that we must have a connection with Him, or our spiritual lives would be in grave danger.
